Travel, Bicycling and Photography Blog

I have decided to create a photography/traveling/bicycling blog so I can share my experiences of having traveled across the U.S. during a three-year period. It was an amazing experience where I met amazing people along the road, biked in some amazing cities, took photographs in places like New York, Rhode Island, Napa, Chicago, and all along the Pacific Highway, and most importantly, had the opportunity to become part of different communities across the U.S.

You have to imagine living, literally living, in a hotel for 335 days out of the year, and I did that for three years, so technically I’ve spent a little over 1000 days in a hotel, and spent time in the following cities, Washington DC, Salida, CO, Anaheim, Tucson, Riverside, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Philadelphia, New York, Lancaster, PA, Chicago, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Temple and Killeen, TX, Wakefield, RI, Providence, Newport, Montreal, Minnesota, Salt Lake City, Reno, Lake Geneva, WI, San Jose, Long Beach, Napa, Las Vegas, Flagstaff, Oklahoma City, Saint Louis, Princeton, Wilmington,  Savannah, New Orleans, and finally back to El Paso, Texas.

The experience of having lived in so many different cities definitely shapes you and changes you in a positive way.  You learned what other communities are doing. You get to experience what it means to live in another city, especially cities that you always wanted to experience, and you learn how to adapt, create new friends, learn to navigate the city, go about your everyday activities as is you’ve lived there for a long time just to really maximize your stay in each city. Like after all this I know where to go for a beach, to party to pray and once I have a family I will know that family activities in Salt Lake City are the amazing, I’m just very prepared for everything now.

If you are reading this, well I thank you for taking the time, and I promise not to be a bore.  I hope that this becomes an enjoyable experience where you learn more about other cities, the number of things that are available for the traveler and the different communities, and at the same time enjoy, I hope, some of my photographs and writing. With this, I begin this new writing adventure.  I hope to write regularly and interestingly with plenty of details and useful information.  Also, I will include photographs, which is a very important part of this creative process.

I  will leave you with some photos of me in some of the different cities I had the opportunity to visit. Of course, my bike is included in them.  Remember that I will write often, not only about the traveling experience itself, but the amazing experience of biking (meaning bicycling) in these different places. Remember to travel, travel, travel, travel, as often as you can.  Don’t be a tourist, get to know the locals, learn about them, be a couchsurfer (more on this later), take plenty of pictures, and if possible, bike, bike, bike as much as you can.  This will give you such a different perspective of the city, the town, or the area you decide to visit. And if you are not traveling, but rather temporarily or permanently in the city/town/village of your choice, still pick up your bike and explore.  It will open up your eyes to the different areas of your own cities, towns, or locations.  And if you live, are stopping by, or are anywhere near El Paso, I am always up for a nice bike ride.
