Pacific Coast Highway Photographs

One of the most amazing drives that you can do in the U.S. is definitely Highway 1 along the California coast, also known as PCH.  I would venture out to say that it is breath taking, and having driven around most of the country, it is definitely the best drive in the U.S. (Wikipedia says it is the number 1).  If you haven’t had the opportunity to do this drive, I would strongly urge you to do it.  It is one of those drives that helps you realize how beautiful nature can be, and the amount of amazing places that this country has.   It stretches along most of the Pacific Coast, but I started my drive in Long Beach.

I am including some of the photographs that I took in this road trip.  My plan was to drive from Long Beach, to Napa.  I made a few stops along the way, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, San Francisco, and finally Napa.  There are stretches of highway where the windy curves and cliffs are absolutely amazing.  If you do this ride, please be aware of the weather, as it changes rapidly around this area, and it can go from a beautiful peaceful ride, to a super scary foggy ride.

It is definitely worth your time, so put it in your list of things to do.  I am including some photographs of lighthouses I saw along the way, the famous cannery row in Monterey, and Point Reyes.  I hope you enjoy the photography and most importantly, get out there and do this truly amazing road trip.
